Two new appointments at Connells
28 March 2011
Connells Land & New Homes division is pleased to announce two new appointments.
Paul Quelch has been appointed Land & New Homes Director and will be based in Milton Keynes and Maxine Wilson takes up the role of New Homes Manager operating out of Rugby.
The appointments mark Connells’ continuing investment in its Land & New Homes division driven by a belief in the continued strength of both these markets. As part of their new roles, Paul and Maxine will be covering an area including Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
“I am delighted to take up the Land & New Homes role for Connells having worked as a Connells Area Director in this region for many years,” says Paul. “We have seen growing activity in the land and new homes market, especially in the areas I will be covering, with developers looking to buy land now and revive mothballed building projects from the last few years. It is the right time to put additional resources in and focus all of my time on land and new homes.
“We are also seeing a need from land owners and developers for greater expertise and advice around changes in Government policy with regard to planning,” Paul continues. “Connells recognises the support it can offer organisations in this area and has invested in the Land & New Homes team to ensure it can continue to provide high quality services as the market grows.”
Maxine Wilson brings 20 years experience of the property market in and around Coventry to her new role. “I am very excited about my new role and about growing the Connells Land & New Homes business,” says Maxine. “Working from our new Rugby office, I am ideally placed to build upon Connells’ presence in this market across Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
“We have a fantastic opportunity to respond to the growing number of land and new homes projects in the pipeline, and are well placed to provide developers with an end-to-end service, from sourcing the development site to selling the resulting new homes through our national network of estate agency branches,” Maxine continues.
In 2011, Connells has already seen positive signs in the market for new homes, and developers are responding accordingly. “There is now an appetite from landowners and developers to invest in land and resume building programmes,” says Paul. “Maxine and I will be working closely across the areas we cover to ensure that Connells plays a fundamental role in securing land deals and selling new homes on behalf of developers.”
