Connells launches lettings service in Oxfordshire

16 September 2011

Local estate agency Connells has opened a brand new letting service in Carterton, which will be headed up by new appointment Simon Blackman, who is tasked with developing it into a major presence on the letting scene.

The expansion comes off the back of a successful few months for the residential sales team which opened in May of this year. The operation will focus on the lettings market in Carterton and throughout the area of West Oxfordshire including Witney, Burford and Shilton.

Simon has been working in the lettings industry for ten years. He ran his own lettings agency for a number of years, before selling it two years ago to concentrate on his portfolio of buy-to-let properties. Simon can all on his expertise to provide advice on buying to let, investment opportunities, building a portfolio and renting out your own home.

“I am extremely pleased to have joined Connells and to be heading up this new lettings operation. Our aim is to establish Connells as the agent of choice in West Oxfordshire for landlords and tenants and I look forward to this new challenge,” says Simon Blackman. “I firmly believe in providing customers with a personal and professional customer service, making sure that landlords and tenants are always kept up to date”

Connells has an established and successful lettings division with an excellent support operation, which provides speedy and accurate help and information to our landlords and tenants. This combined with its membership of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents means that they can be confident of providing a quality, professional service.

“The lettings market in West Oxfordshire is very active and we felt there was a need for a new lettings service based in Carterton. The addition of this service in Oxfordshire completes the proposition Connells can offer to a customer,” says Jessica Hardwick, Area Director at Connells.

“We are already very strong at selling both second hand and new homes in Oxfordshire, and are able to provide customers with a mortgage and conveyancing service, so this new lettings offering will give us another valuable string to our bow.
