21 September 2017

New development Perry Meadows launches

Local estate agency Connells announces a partnership with Forward Homes – a new initiative with Birmingham City Council - to bring new development Perry Meadows to the market.

The development will be launched on Thursday 21 September by Cllr Peter Griffiths, Cabinet Member for Housing & Homes.

Perry Meadows in Erdington is the final phase of the major regeneration of Perry Common which is located to the north of Birmingham.  The development offers a superior selection of 89 new homes ranging from two bedroom apartments to two, three and four bedroom houses in a choice of 19 different designs.  Stylish contemporary brick built exteriors and thoughtfully designed interior spaces create homes that are both attractive and practical.  Durable finishes are combined with high levels of insulation and energy efficiency, making them easy to maintain and economical to run.  The new homes are being built by leading housing developer Lovell which is based locally in Birmingham.

“We are both thrilled and proud to partner with Forward Homes and Birmingham City Council (BCC) on this landmark development and look forward to bringing Perry Meadows to the market,” says Nancy Magar, Land & New Homes Partner at Connells.  “Following our official opening on the 21st September we will be holding a VIP invitation-only event on the 22nd, plus an open weekend from Saturday 23rd – Sunday 24th September.  We fully expect a lot of interest in this exceptional new development and would encourage aspiring buyers to make an appointment to join us at our events and view Perry Meadows.  Customers will then get a sense of just how special this development is and the amazing community that BCC is creating.”

Birmingham City Council’s cabinet member for housing and homes, Cllr Peter Griffiths, said:  “BMHT, our house-building wing, has built around 2,500 new homes in the last three years and has built more than 20% of all new homes in Birmingham since 2011.  Despite huge pressures on the council, we are determined to tackle the housing crisis - building new homes, working with housing partners in the region and pursuing creative solutions to address different housing needs. This new partnership will see 89 apartments and houses for sale and shows how we are supporting different sectors to tackle the housing crisis.”

Lovell regional managing director Stuart Penn says: “We’re extremely pleased to be bringing our new homes expertise to this impressive scheme, working alongside Connells, Forward Homes and Birmingham City Council. These are superb properties which will create exciting new options for local homebuyers.”

Perry Meadows is located off Perry Common Road, close to Witton Lakes and Witton Lakes Park.  The new homes are being built alongside a new health center, The Dove Primary Care Centre and Perry Common Recreation Ground which is currently undergoing major improvements.  The development is within easy reach of excellent schools, local shops, amenities and sporting facilities and Birmingham City Centre is just five miles away.  Perry Meadows is a short distance from the M6 motorway offering residents access to employment and business opportunities across the region.

Prices for homes at Perry Meadows start from £125,000 to £280,000 and Help to Buy is available on this development.  For further information and to register your interest in attending the VIP launch event and open weekend, please contact the following branches:
