08 November 2017
New Divisional Managing Director for Central division
A new Divisional Managing Director for Connells Residential, one of the UK’s largest and most successful estate agencies and part of the Connells Group, has been appointed. Paul Capehorn is charged with driving Connells’ Central division, spearheading its ambitious plans for growth and strengthening both the business and teams within it.
Paul has over 30 years’ experience within the industry, 17 of which have been with Connells, and began his career with the company as Branch Manager at Sutton Coldfield. Paul successfully advanced through the ranks, most notably becoming Area Partner for Birmingham in 2008 and Senior Area Director for Birmingham and the West Midlands in 2010, before becoming Regional Director for the South East in 2012. Highlights during his time with Connells include launching a successful lettings operation in the West Midlands, growing the South East division from 13 branches to 17, and assisting with the acquisition of Touchstone Residential Lettings. In his new role as Divisional Managing Director for the Central division, Paul will extend his expertise to a network of 86 branches stretching from Warwickshire in the north to Sussex in the south, and across from Wiltshire to Suffolk.
Commenting on the new appointment, Connells Group National Operations Director Ian Fry said: “We are delighted to appoint Paul to this new position. Paul is consistently one of our top performing people and his rise to Divisional Managing Director is another example of the great career progression available within our business. The Central Division has a very successful history within Connells Group and, under Paul’s leadership, I am confident that we have an excellent team, well-equipped to grow and strengthen the business.”
“I am thrilled to be appointed to this role,” says Paul. "The Central division was the most profitable in Connells last year and my plan is to continue to build on the obvious strengths of the division and improve its market share.
“There have been new branch openings already this year to aid our ambition, and more will be opening soon,” continues Paul. “Alongside our successful residential sales teams, I will be heading up very strong land, new homes and mortgage businesses as well as a growing lettings department. In light of this, we are looking for excellent team members to join us as we look to expand and invite applications from interested parties."
