Connells Land & New Homes welcome Jamie Snell to the team
Connells’ Land & New Homes division is pleased to announce its latest enhancement to its senior management team, with the appointment of Jamie Snell to the role of Land & New Homes Manager for the Devon area, effective immediately.
Beginning his career in property back in 2009, Jamie brings extensive knowledge and experience from his time in the industry, covering many disciplines prior to his specialisation in land and new homes. These include residential sales and lettings, commercial, and asset management. Having previously worked for a leading agent as Head of Land & New Homes in the West Country, Jamie has strong local and regional knowledge and a positive reputation within land and new homes networking circles.
As Land & New Homes Manager for Connells, Jamie will be responsible for driving departmental growth for the business in Devon, supporting the branch network within it, and managing new homes site sales advisors. He will also provide advice to developers on new homes projects from start to finish (market research, scheme mix, pricing appraisals, and sales and marketing strategies), as well as land owners on the different options available to them such as obtaining planning permission, pricing appraisals, disposal methods, and sales and marketing.
Areas covered include Exeter, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton, Ivybridge, Plymouth, Plympton, Plymstock, and St Budeaux.
Jamie says: “I spent a number of years working for both corporate and independent firms, and also ‘client-side’ at a PLC housebuilder which gave me a unique and useful insight into the requirements of, and challenges faced by, developers and housebuilders. Connells has been the leading new homes agency for several years now, and I wanted to be part of their dedicated team of land and new homes specialists, as it is clear that their understanding of the market is second to none. In recent years it has become fashionable for estate agencies to dabble in this sector, resulting in poor service to clients and a lack of proper support and resources, however, Connells are most certainly not dabblers!
“Despite the current circumstances, there seems to be a feeling of wanting to get on with things amongst buyers and sellers, and the market in Devon is enjoying good levels of activity, particularly in the sub-£400,000 price bracket. I look forward to aiding as many clients as possible, in a secure manner, as part of an industry-leading team,” concludes Jamie.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Jamie to the business, and to a new chapter in his career,” says Paul Matthews, Connells New Homes Board of Management Partner. “With a wealth of experience and industry contacts from his previous positions, Jamie will be a great asset, and is well placed to capitalise on the many opportunities for new business that we’re seeing in the West Country currently. I look forward to working with him to further boost our service offering in the region and expand our activity within this market.”
