About Houlton
About Houlton
The development of Houlton is a joint venture between developers Urban&Civic and Aviva Investors, and sits on the former Rugby Radio Station site on the eastern edge of Rugby.
Once complete, Houlton will feature 6,200 new homes and will offer residents a host of first-class facilities, including three primary schools, a secondary school, a nursery, a GP health centre, shops, and extensive walkways, cycleways and green spaces.
With over 300 families now living on site, the Houlton community continues to grow. Prospective homebuyers can now reserve plots for a range of two, three, four, and five-bedroom houses from four prestigious housebuilders, Redrow Homes, Davidsons Homes, Crest Nicholson and Morris Homes.
The development is already home to an award-winning eatery The Tuning Fork, an adventure play park, the first of its three primary schools and community centre The Barn. A 1.5mile link road, Houlton Way, which connects the site to Rugby town centre opened in November 2019.
Houlton's first primary school, CofE St. Gabriel's Academy opened in 2018.
Located in the heart of the new Rugby community, Houlton's secondary school will welcome its first intake of Year 7 pupils in September 2021 and will eventually provide over 1,200 school places with six classes per year, plus a sixth form.
Houlton's first convenience shop and nursery with places for 90 children are currently being built and will open in Autumn 2021.
