Downstairs the stud/interior walls are clad with fire retardant flooring boards. In just under half a mile take the first exit onto Hawes Street then continue across the following roundabout onto Hawes Street. Take the third exit at the roundabout onto Wherstead Road. In just under a mile take the first take the first exit onto the Strand and proceed for approximately four and a half miles until the left turning onto Pill Mill Road. Follow the road to the riverbank which leads you to the Butt and Oyster then follow the National Trust Walk to the right and The Ark can be found on the left hand side.
