Connells appointed to sell new homes at eco-friendly Manor Gardens, Frenchay

Connells has been appointed as the selling agent for new homes at Manor Gardens in Frenchay. Built by Aequus Construction Limited and working with South Gloucestershire Council, the site will comprise 30 one to four-bedroom homes, with Connells appointed to sell 19. Some plots are expected to be available to reserve off-plan in the Spring, with the show home due to launch in the summer, and full completion anticipated for late 2023.

Manor Gardens is being built to energy efficiency standards set out by the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB). All properties will include solar panels, air source heat pumps, extra insulation, mechanical ventilation and recovery systems and electric vehicle charging points. These measures are estimated to cut energy bills by around 70% based on average consumption of similar house types. The development will also feature a central public open space and will include biodiverse and resilient planting and sustainable urban drainage.

Paul Matthews, New Homes Director at Connells, says, “We are proud to have been appointed to sell this hugely important eco-friendly development which will directly benefit the local area. This is our first time working with Aequus Group and we are thankful to be helping deliver their climate emergency aims by providing affordable and sustainable homes to the local community. Frenchay is one of the most sought after suburbs in Bristol and has seen few quality developments in recent years. As such, we expect the site to be very popular and are looking forward to guiding this site through to completion after its launch.”
